Aston Arena
Aston Arena (formerly Aston Villa Leisure Centre and Aston Events Centre) was an indoor sports and event venue located in Birmingham, England.
The venue was situated adjacent to Villa Park football stadium, home of Aston Villa F.C. of the Premier League.
The venue has played host to many sporting events, and was the former home of basketball teams Birmingham Bullets and Birmingham Athletics.
From September 2007, the indoor sports arena will be the home venue of new franchise Birmingham Panthers, in their rookie season, in the professional British Basketball League, the country's elite basketball division.
Artists that have performed at the venue include Bob Dylan, Black Sabbath, Nirvana, Manic Street Preachers & Morrissey, among others.
